WallWool InstallationWallWool sound insulation batting outperforms fiberglass for interior wall sound absorption and isolation. WallWool Batts have superior acoustic qualities and improves STC and NRC. The sound batting is made from ceramic fiber and contains none of the glue or formaldihyde found in fiberglass. This sound insulation material was designed to provide maximum sound attenuation in a relatively thin package. There is no fiberglass resin adhesive in this material and no odor. It combines refractory wool that has twice the acoustic efficiency of acoustic fiberglass panels with an acoustically transparent envelope. The result is that the highly fibrous, non-asbestos sound absorbing material is contained in an easy to apply insulation batting.

Using WallWool instead of fiberglass can help decrease sound transmission while improving the acoustic properties of the room. While it’s just 1 in. thick, WallWool (a high grade ceramic based mineral wool) is vastly superior soundproofing product.
